A warm bed for ex-stray cat Tom

Stray cats don't always enjoy the best reputation. Karen had a few reservations when cat Tom suddenly started making regular visits to her garden. But he was so affectionate that it didn't take long for him to steal Karen's heart!
"Last spring, there was a tabby cat which would regularly visit our garden", recalls Karen. "At first, I just observed him from a distance. Until one day I opened the doors to the terrace; instead of running away, the cat came closer. In no time at all, Tom became a regular visitor."
He ended up on the streets following a house move
According to one of the neighbours, the male cat had been left behind during a house move. "Tom had been living on the streets for a while, but was clearly longing for a place to call home. We welcomed him into our house. He quickly became part of the family, so we took him to the vet for a thorough check-up."

A new home
Tom has settled in and feels really at home with Karen and her family. "He still sometimes goes out through his cat flap for an adventure. But he always comes back to us and his sheepskin basket for a rest. He also has a cat litter box and even a play-blanket with crackle-fabric sewn in." He's a very lucky cat!
