“There’s nothing better than really fresh eggs!”
Tim and big sister Marjolijn live in an apartment and don’t have a garden. On Wednesday afternoons they visit Grandma in the countryside where they can play outside to their heart’s content. And that always includes a visit to the chickens…
As in many families, Tim and Marjolijn’s parents work full-time. But their kids don’t mind: every Wednesday afternoon they love visiting Grandma. As soon as their homework is done they can’t wait to visit the chickens and see if there are any fresh eggs.

Egg hunt!
“There’s nothing better than really fresh eggs!” says Marjolijn. She and her brother Tim are heading for the chicken coop with the egg basket at the ready. “And we’re in luck: the chickens have laid us some delicious eggs!”. The children thank the chickens by filling their drinking fountain and feeding bowls.
And now for something yummy...
After the egg hunt, the next job is to persuade Grandma to make something delicious for their dinner using the fresh eggs. That shouldn’t be too difficult: who could possibly resist those cheeky grins? “Thanks to the chickens, we have delicious fried eggs for dinner on Wednesdays”, laughs Tim.
